In the state of Arkansas, a new course replaced a course that many of us were used to teaching. We were apprehensive about this course because of the social media aspect. Many of our schools have very strict social media use policies. An area school began sharing with us that they had used Stukent. I dove in and my students did the 6 free rounds. This simulation solved all the issues that we were concerned about with the social media. Luke and the team have been great to work with. Very helpful. My administration allowed me to purchase the full version for the remainder of the semester. Super excited about having it! Our vocational supervisor at our co-op is working with Luke so that Carl Perkins funds can purchase this for us for the 18-19 school year.

“I love what I can teach my students through Mimic Personal Finance, it makes money management so much more meaningful. It thrills me to see what my students learned about paying bills, saving money, and maintaining a good credit score as they did all of the cool things Mimic Personal Finance had to offer. It makes me wish I was teaching longer so I could use the program more. It is a game changer in financial literacy.”

Stukent's Social Media simulation was very helpful in connecting the dots between what students know about SM as a poster and what is required to drive engagement and revenue for a company/product. This was an eye-opener for many of my students. And as someone who personally has a very small SM footprint, I learned a ton as well.

I was very impressed with StuKent in so many way including how easy it was to get help from your support team. My DECA leaders felt that they were getting some real hands on and found this to be very real world experience. I am still waiting to see if I'll and funds that I can allocate to purchase StuKent for next school year.

This was not only a fun way to teach digital marketing, but really helped my students understand analytics and the importance of timing, content and approaching posts with the client in mind.

I just posted my final assignment on Google Classroom. Just a simple question: Favorite concept you learned from my class this year and why. An OVERWHELMING number of my students said that Mimic Social was by far the best part of the class. Keep in mind - I give them Wed-Fri (class time_ and then Sat/Sun to do a posting round, then we do the analysis round on Monday/Tuesday/ I also space out the rounds so I'm not shoving it down their throats and they don't get tired of it. I also make it a competition (top two winners of each class at the end get a free semester exam exemption). I know what some others say their kids don't like it - but these types of responses included my "high -flyers" and my "ELR's: (extra love required). Can't recommend this simulation enough. (It also stands to be mentioned that quite a few of these kids had done the Knowledge Matters VB sims in my other classes and were NOT a fan)

"I love the ease of the simulation and the fact that videos for various topics are included. The students really enjoy Life Happens and the fact that they can pay their bills anytime after they’ve been posted and don’t have to wait until Fridays. They sometimes think the videos are boring but as teenagers, they think everything is boring. I think the videos are great!"

I teach high school marketing and I am having my 61 students use the simulation right now and all my students have been 100% engaged.

“Mimic Personal Finance is making a bigger impact on my students than I ever would have imagined. This is what they are talking about at home and in the halls. Students are actively making real-world decisions. They are asking better, more relevant questions. They are having meaningful conversations with their parents about the decisions they are making in financial literacy. And the biggest bonus … this has made teaching financial literacy fun for me again!”

I really prefer this program over the other budgeting activities I have done. It is the most real-world program I have used and it throws in the unexpected, which parallels real-life. The students enjoy it. Further, I am not a tech-savvy teacher. Their support team is responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly.
